Syringomas y Xanthelasmas

What is it?

Syringomas are common skin lesions, benign tumours derived from the intraepidermal ducts of the eccrine sweat glands. They are frequently located on the lower eyelids, chest, face and neck. These ones only have aesthetic impact.

 

Treatment

The CO2 laser is extremely effective for the treatment of these benign tumours.

 

What is it?

The Xanthelasmas are accumulations of lipids in the eyelids skin. They are common in people with metabolic disorders such as hypercholesterolemia, diabetes and biliary cirrhosis. It mainly appears in adults.

 

Treatment

In the treatment on the xanthelasmas, the CO2 laser or Erbium laser is used.
A laminar vaporization is carried out in two or three exfoliations with frictions of wet gauzes soaked in hydrogen peroxide until the prominence of the lesion is eliminated. Healing occurs between 8 and 16 days.
